INDOOR TOURNAMENT 2012 - RULES
RULES
- The rules for the Pierrefonds Women's Indoor Soccer (see below) will apply for this tournament, with the following additions or substitutions:
- Goalkeepers will wear a different color jersey from her teammates.
- Players can only play for one team.
- Games will consist of 25 minutes to be played with no half time.
No grace period from the scheduled kick-off time will be allowed; the game will be forfeited to the opposing team by a score of 3-0. - When a team forfeits for whatever reason, the game will be recorded as a win for the opposing team with a score of 3-0.
In the case of a tie during the preliminary round, it will be recorded as such; there is no overtime. - Five (5) players minimum are required to start the game.
- Maximum number of players on the bench is 13 players.
- Mercy Rule: Once a difference of six (6) goals is reached by any one team in a game, the game will be considered over.
DISCIPLINE
Two (2) yellow cards in any one game is an automatic ejection (red card) and a one game suspension.
- An accumulation of three (3) yellow cards in any three games results in a one game suspension.
- One (1) red card in any game (violent play, action or language) is an automatic ejection and a one game suspension.
- Slide tackles are considered violent conduct (red card) in this tournament and are forbidden.
- When a player is ejected (red carded) a teammate must serve a two (2) minute penalty in the box, and the team will play short handed regardless of the number of goals scored.
SEMI-FINALS AND FINALS GAMES
In the case of a tie during the semi-final and final games, an additional period of 5 minutes will be played (no sudden death or golden goal). If the game remains tied following the additional 5 minute period, kicks from the penalty mark will be taken as follows and in accordance with FIFA rules:
Kicks from the Penalty Mark
- only players on the field at the end of the overtime period may participate in the “Kicks from the Penalty Mark”
- five (5) players will be selected by each team from those on the field at the end of the game
- each of the selected five players must take their penalty kick
- if the tie still stands after the five (5) penalty kicks, five (5) more players will be selected but this round will be sudden death
the second 5 players chosen must include those who have not taken a kick - before declaring a winner, each team must have taken an equal number of kicks
- the selection and penalty kick process continues until a winner is declared.
